The secret behind great phone systems

Great phone systems all share something in common. No matter what size or type business phone system you look at, the great ones will all stand head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to the concept of easy flexibility. Easy flexibility is defined as how easy it is to update the system. Great phone systems can change features on a dime. Crappy phone systems do not take well to updates and create a complicated environment during a time of business transition.

Now there is a reason that manufacturers continue to produce PBX phone systems that are so complicated and difficult to use that they require intense certification programs for their technicians. This reason is money. A PBX phone system that is difficult to reprogram, update, and scale is one that will require a high amount of service hours. These service hours are all billable hours that PBX vendors enjoy for life. Not to mention the many times a company will pay top dollar for PBX service calls and receive mediocre to poor service quality.

The more complicated a PBX phone system, the further the business customer will feel from identifying with that system's capabilities and true functions. This means heavy reliance on the system vendor that sold you the system to charge you hourly for every change you will ever need. On the other hand, user-friendly phone systems simply life. They slash maintenance costs to nil while allowing for the business customers to truly understand and tweak their phone systems to the point of maximum efficiency. So that's it, that's the big secret. Doesn't seem so glamorous to you? Well, that's because it's not. We like to keep things simple around here.
