Phone systems you can use from the web

New technology means many new VoIP based PBX phone systems are going to provide businesses with a web page they can go to to control their phone system and office extensions. This means from any browser in the world, the entire business phone and voicemail system is accessible. Depending on the system you choose you will have certain features at your fingertips while logged in to the web control panel.

With our product, IP Xtreme, you can view which users in your office are using the phone system. A business owner could check on how many calls went on that day, who was active, and who wasn't. The detailed call logs prove very helpful for tracking usage. IP Xtreme also allows full access to the voicemail system and messages can be played directly over the computer speakers.

The IP Xtreme web interface goes a step further if you happen to be near a phone. For example a receptoinist working from home could use the web interface to handle incoming calls and transfer the calls exactly as if she was sitting at her desk. The phone system is doing all of the work and keeping everybody connected at all times.

If you're looking into new PBX phone systems, make sure you look at a system that provides a friendly web interface. Typically this is going to be a Voice Over IP (VoIP) phone system feature not found on older traditional PBX and Key telephone systems.
